Directions/Parking There is no participant parking in the Park on race day. You
must enter Cherry Creek State Park via the west entrance. You
may access the west entrance via Yosemite and Union or
the Cherry Creek Dam Road which will be open until
6:00am on race day. After that, the Dam Road
will be closed to all traffic until the conclusion of the
event (approximately 12:00 noon). The west entrance,
east of Yosemite and Union, across from Cherry Creek High
School, will remain open throughout the morning.
Parking for both athletes and spectators will be at Cherry
Creek High School east of Union and Yosemite or at Greenwood
Commons located at the intersection of Dayton and Union
Blvd. No vehicles are allowed in the park. After
parking, you will walk your bike and gear into the park.
Special Needs parking is available. Please contact
us prior to race day at 303.430.2969 to make the necessary
arrangements.
The event consists of a
750-meter swim (1/2 mile) which starts and finishes
at the west boat ramp of Cherry Creek State Park.
You will ride out-and-back on Jordan
Road (see map) and re-enter the park at the same
location. You will then proceed east on the Perimeter
Road to the turnaround near the 12 Mile Road,
East Entrance.
The final leg of the event is a 5K
(3.1 miles) run on the Hobie Hill Road and Perimeter
Road to access Cherry Creek Dam Road. The run is an
out and back course that finishes at Hobie Hill.
